Next Meeting

I sent everyone the following email message but in case someone hasn't received it, I will repeat it on the blog. PS to Chris, let's include your CD/DVD burning presentation in the next meeting as some folks use CD/DVD's to back up their data.

I will be unable to host the MUGWUMP's at my home this month as I will be out of town. If someone else would like to host it this month, please let me know and I will send a follow-up message to the membership. Otherwise, our next meeting will be on Tues, Oct. 9 at 7 pm at my home . Based on the results thus far of the online poll at our new website the subject of the October meeting will be Backup Strategies. I am familiar and use the backup software called SuperDuper which I will demonstrate. If any of you use other techniques or software please come prepared to talk about it as well.

In case you haven't heard, Apple dropped the price of their iPhone from $599 to $399. Wow, what a price drop after only 2 months on the market. Sure glad I waited ! Also today, Apple revamped their iPod line and added a new touchscreen iPod similar to the iPhone (but without the phone and camera part) for $299 (8 gig model). I may not be able to resist it !
